5/25/2018 - 9/03/2018 Beach Lights
Beach Lights will begin Memorial Day weekend and run nightly through Labor Day from 9pm to 11pm. Special 3-minute displays at 9:00pm, 9:20pm, 9:40pm, 10:00pm, 10:20pm, 10:40pm, and 11:00pm.  This lighting attraction features high-powered searchlights that accent the sky and surrounding area around N. Division Street and the Boardwalk.  Searchlights move and sway, creating a dance of light to musical selections played through boardwalk speakers. The lights change into a variety of colors, bathing the surrounding beachscape and boardwalk in vibrant colors. 

6/06/2018 - 8/29/2018 Free Movies on the Beach
Free Movies on the Beach Free movies on the beach for the entire family!  Bring your beach chair or a blanket and enjoy the night beside the ocean. Every Monday and Friday at 27th Street Beach and every Wednesday at the Carousel Hotel at 117th Street at 8:30pm. All movies are subject to change. Annual meeting, exhibits, training opportunities, and seminars are available.  The public is invited to come in and meet the firemen and see exhibits Monday thru Wednesday.  The Memorial Service is Sunday at 7pm.  Opening Ceremony is Monday at 8:30am.  The Exhibits are open Monday and Tuesday 9am-4pm and Wednesday 9am to noon.  The Annual Parade is Wednesday at 1 pm.  Equipment, bands, & floats (approx. 3 hours).  For more information, visit www.msfa.org.

6/17/2018 - 9/02/2018 Sundaes in the Park
Spend your Sunday evenings in picturesque Northside Park listening to your favorite live music.  This is a family concert series with pizzazz!  Enjoy free music ranging from country to rock, tribute bands to oldies.  Each week children are offered various free activities and entertainment.  The best thing about Sundaes in the Park is the ice cream sundaes!  Create your own sundae for a nominal fee, sit back, listen to music and watch the sun set over the beautiful Assawoman Bay.  Additional ice cream novelty and beverage options are available for purchase.  Bring your picnic basket and beach chairs.  The night will end with a fireworks display at 9pm.  In the event of inclement weather, this event will be moved inside the complex. Enjoy a free concert while watching the sunset over the Isle of Wight Bay from the perfect location in Ocean City! Ocean Games/Swim Ocean City/Beach Flight Frisbee

Ocean Games is an annual event held along the beautiful shoreline of Ocean City, MD.  Conducted in cooperation with the Town of Ocean City, the Ocean City Beach Patrol, and the United States Coast Guard, the Ocean Games features three main competitions.  "Swim Ocean City", a WOWSA-sanctioned ocean race, features 1-mile, 3-mile, and 9-mile ocean swims, and Ultimate Flight Frisbee (competitive beach frisbee tournament).

In addition to providing you with an incredible open water experience, the Ocean Games' mission is to raise funds for the Johns Hopkins Brain and Stroke Rehabilitation Program, while simultaneously increasing awareness of brain injuries and recovery and promoting the positive effects that sports have on the mind and the body.  For more information, contact Corey Davis at corey197@gmail.com.

The USSSA World Series Beach Bash Kick-Off Party kicks off the week-long youth softball tournament hosted in Wicomico County.  The attendees of this event will be participants, including players and coaches, and their families.  The ceremony consists of a team parade and introductions, a DJ, several speeches and welcomes, food for the players and coaches, and optional low impact games on the beach. Delmarva's Largest GREEK FESTIVAL! This is the 29th year that the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, located on 40th Street & the bay, will be transformed into a place for "All things Greek", feeding and entertaining thousands of Delmarva tourists and local families alike. Capt. Steve Harman's Poor Girls Open

The Poor Girls Open is a ladies-only billfish release tournament benefiting breast cancer research.  There are also added entry levels for tuna and dolphin.  This tournament was started by Capt. Steve Harman as a way for local waitresses and bartenders to have an affordable and fun competition while raising money for a very important cause.  The tournament continues to grow with over 100 boats entering.  Participation is not limited only to anglers, as there are silent auctions, 50/50 tickets, T-shirts for sale, and other fun events helping to raise money for brease cancer research.  In the past three years alone, the Poor Girls Open has raised over $100,000 that was donated to the American Cancer Society.  For more information, visit www.bahiamarina.com.

Inlet Lot, 11am to 7pm The perennial Ocean City fall favorite, “Wine on the Beach,” will celebrate its 23rd year at the coastal resort. The event takes place at the Inlet, where the historic boardwalk begins. The Festival, featuring Maryland wines, will be open Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29, from 11am to 7pm. Tis the Season!  The 35th Annual Ocean City Christmas Parade marches along Coastal Hwy. on Saturday, December 1, 2018.  The holiday parade starts at 11am on Old Landing Rd. and marches northbound in the southbound lanes of Coastal Hwy. to the judges' stand at 120th St.  The event will feature more than 50 units, including high school bands, horses, antique cars, colorful holiday floats, and more.

Professional judges will review bands and other units in nine categories, with trophies being awarded inside the Carousel Hotel following the parade.  The awards presentation is part of a post-parade reception hosted by the Carousel Hotel, bringing additional family fun for participants and patrons alike.  Festivities at the hotel will begin immediately after the parade conclusion and sill include half-priced ice skating, a DJ playing continuous holiday music and fee photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  In addition, complementary winter refreshments will be available.

To participate in the Ocean City Christmas Parade, which is coordinated by the Town of Ocean City, registrants should contact the Special Events Dept. at 410-250-0125.  There is no charge to participate.  For those wishing to view the parade, plenty of seating will be available along the west side of the half-mile parade route, including the Food Lion parking lot and judging area.

Spectators will not be permitted to watch the parade from the median area of Coastal Hwy.  Motorists are reminded that traffic pattern changes will begin approximately 8am and traffic congestion and delays should be expected.  Also, due to the high volume of pedestrian traffic, everyone is reminded to Walk Smart by using crosswalks and crossing with the traffic control signal.

New Year's Eve Celebration and Fireworks

The Town of Ocean City will be hosting a New Year's Eve Fireworks Show at Northside Park to celebrate the beginning of 2019 and the 26th Annual Winterfest of Lights.  The fireworks display, which will begin promptly at midnight, will be accompanied by live entertainment, warm hot chocolate, and the opportunity to ride through the Winterfest of Lights.

Hours for the Winterfest of Lights, which was recently named a prestigious Top 100 Event by American Bus Association and voted "Maryland's Finest Holiday Tradition" by Maryland Life Magazine, will be extended until midnight.  This family-friendly event will allow visitors to travel through the winter paradise of lights and then listen to music by a local DJ as they wait for the countdown to midnight.

With more than one million holiday lights sparkling throughout Northside Park, the Winterfest of Lights New Year's Eve Fireworks Show will be a great way to ring in the New Year.
